Apple had recently announced that it had decided to expand its Apple Maps application within Australia. The updated app will has started provided more detailed road coverage, more accurate information, improved navigation, 3D landmarks of locations, improved views, buildings, airports, shopping centers, etc making it more easier and enjoyable for the users.
Until now, 3D Map representations of famous buildings only had been limited to larger cities. With the newer app, the new rollout helps users to explore and navigate the world with better territories and offering personalised features using intelligence in Australia. The app also made it possible for users to be able to check services such as ETA inclusive of Live Traffic Alert, Petty and Heart Rate Monitor.
The giant tech started the initial planning two years prior to the rollout.
The company started driving cars around the Australia to record images an capture videos, buildings, flyovers, indoor maps for malls, recent flight status, better transit routes, nearby airport or stations or any other details for better accuracy and faster navigation. The maps will be available with iOS 15 version.
