The giant tech Samsung had been the very first company that announced a folding screen smartphone, The Galaxy Fold, in 2019. The users were certainly surprised to see such a first foldable phone; however, the market was not reliable.
Firstly, the foldable smartphone has suffered several screen issues during its initial launches. Secondly, the pricing for the phone was certainly expensive. Since the initial releases, the tech has launched multiple models with variations with continuous improvements and better foldable experiences.
To make the foldable phones more accessible and affordable to the market, Samsung had earlier decided to drop the pricing on its newest folding flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, from the original pricing of $1,449.99 to $1,199.99. There was no design difference between the current version and the original, non 5G version, launched six months earlier.
Similarly continuing with the trend, the tech giant has decided to further decrease the pricing on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G and Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G.
Earlier, Galaxy Fold devices have been launched at $2,999 in the market, while the Galaxy Flip devices have been launched at $2,199 in the market. However, both the products will go on sale this September priced at $2,499 and $1,499 respectively.
